A compilation of projects using Web 2.0 applications in the classroom has been published by independent ICT consultant Terry Freedman. The Amazing Web 2.0 Projects Book features primary and secondary uses of Web 2.0
submitted by ICT teachers across the UK. It includes sections on benefits, challenges and tips on how to implement the applications. The book can be downloaded free. The link is at the bottom of this post.
Almost all of the 94 project contributors are practicing teachers. There is mention of 52 Web 2.0 applications and a further 10 resources across 87 different projects. Each teacher discusses their projects, how they handled any issues and what the learning outcomes were.
The age range covered is 4 to adult and some of the areas covered include:
Art, Biology, Collaborative Writing, Communication, Film Making, Geography, English, Current Events, History, Maths, Reading and Science.
The book has been downloaded over 50,000 times and could be a great platform for those hoping to start an interesting and dynamic project with their class.
