Engineers Week 2019

Engineers Week 2019 kicks off this Saturday March 2nd and boasts another jam packed programme for primary and secondary students nationwide. Engineer’s Week, is a week long festival of events to celebrate the world of engineering in Ireland. From spaceships to ice skates, bubbles in chocolate bars, to life-saving medical treatments, engineering permeates every part of our lives. However, not enough young people think of it as a possible future career for them and as a result the industry is struggling to recruit. This annual showcase is to raise awareness of what engineers do and, the possible career paths young people can take and most importantly the positive difference engineering can make to our future, that of the planet and everything else in between.
