For Summer 2018, TeachNet in association with Microsoft Education, are delighted to announce two new blended courses (Face-to-face & online), ‘Making Sense of Minecraft for Education and ‘Enhancing 21st Skills using Microsoft Tools’. Spend 3 days in Microsoft DreamSpace (2-4 July) followed by 2 days online this summer and learn how to use exciting tools to enhance learning in the primary classroom.
Making Sense of Minecraft for Education
Explore how to can use Minecraft as a cross-curricular learning tool to help improve pupil engagement, collaboration, creative exploration, and learning outcomes.
Minecraft: Education Edition is an open-world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is your pupils’ imagination. Learn how to use Minecraft and create classroom resources to take back to your classroom. Use Minecraft to increase pupils’ motivation and increase opportunities to develop their decision making through solving problems and implementing solutions.
Enhancing 21st Skills using Microsoft Tools
Learn how to develop and enhance 21st century skills in your classroom using Microsoft’s Office 365 tools and create exciting learning opportunities for your pupils.
21st century skills are the skills that today’s pupils will need to be successful in this ever-changing world. They include communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity, social and emotional intelligence, technological literacy and problem solving. Learn how to develop and enhance 21st century skills in your classroom using Microsoft’s Office 365 tools in conjunction with the Microsoft Educator Community portal.
Courses take place in DreamSpace at Microsoft Ireland from
Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th July. The remainder of the course (equivalent of 8 hours)
can be taken anytime, anywhere between 5th July and 24th August 2018.
DreamSpace courses are:
- EPV day approved by the Department of Education and Skills.
- Delivered in a blended way (3 days face-to-face workshops and 2 days online) courses.
- Developed and delivered in association with TeachNet Ireland and H2 Learning.
For a limited time only, both new courses are available to book for only €49 (Full price €89) each . Places are restricted so book now (Unsuccessful applicants will be automatically added to a waiting list for future courses.).
