In a break from our usual monthly podcast schedule, Michael Hallissy speaks with Neil Bruton of the LINK Research Centre in DCU to highlight their new exciting education webinar initiative, ‘Techspectations’. Techspectations follows on from the very successful 4C Initiative seminar series in 2010 and continues to offer free online seminars for educators on using technology for learning, teaching and administration. During the discussion Neil explains the background to this latest initiative, details the pre-Christmas programme and what’s planned for 2011.
Techspectations’ Education seminars take place every Thursday at 4 PM and all participants need is a computer with broadband internet access. However, spaces are limited so ensure you secure your place prior to the event by registeringhere . All online seminars are recorded so previous seminars are available to download from their website. Next up this Thursday, November 18th, is ‘Social Software for Education’ with Peter Shipley from Learning Objects.
