As we enter the ‘crazy’ final weeks before end of the term, you think I am going to have time to engage in professional learning activities. Well this is an interesting twist on professional learning and one that has been running successfully for three years now, it is called the Twelve Apps of Christmas. It takes about 10 minutes each day and you leave with new ideas on how to embed mobile Apps into your teaching, learning and assessment practices.
The event is the brainchild of Frances Boylan, who works down in Dublin Institute of Technology and she has organised 12 case-studies on using Apps in education over 16 consecutive days beginning on December 1st. This year she has a range of educators from Ireland, the UK and the USA to share their professional uses of Apps with you. Click on the link below to hear Frances explain how it all works:
So take the plunge and register here today.
If that is not enough for you there are two other similar professional learning events taking place at the same time. Regents University London have their own 12 Apps of Christmas so click on the link below to find out more.
There is also a similar event taking place in Canada in
If you know of similar events elsewhere, please let us know and we will share them with everyone.
