As a new academic year gets under way, what better kickstart to this year’s TeachNet blog then continuing from where we left off last year, musing again about the potential of generative AI in teaching, learning and assessment. Which brings me to the timely rollout of Khanmigo for Teachers, created by Khan Academy which is now available for free in 49 countries in partnership with Microsoft. Sal Kahn first showcased their AI assistant during a TED talk in April 2023 and while it’s availability to students remains limited to certain US states their teacher-centric AI assistant is now available to many teachers globally (Including our good selves).
