Interview with Ciaran McCormack, of Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design & Technology (IADT)

Ciaran has been to the fore in ICT integration in Irish Education for many years, and he has written and lectured widely both and home and abroad on the subject. Thanks for a very interesting podcast Ciaran. You’ve created some excellent resources and I think both the bookclub and the film festival websites will provide an excellent opportunity to enhance learning in an exciting way for children.
I also agree with you about training for teachers. I like the idea of using more technology in my classroom but not owning an ipad puts me on the back foot. I need time to look at and try out apps but this is not always possible during teaching time / time spent in school before and after school. I would be able to do this in the evening when my children are in bed if I had access to the technology.
