Just over a year ago I first wrote about Microsoft’s Quick Guides, a series of short PDF guides covering a selection of 365 apps and learning tools. At the time I quipped that the initial 14 guides were just for starters and in time the series would grow and encompass the entirety of the 365 suite. So I’m happy to report that Scottish teacher Heather Aird, and the MS Edu Team have not disappointed and the running total of quick guide sits at 34, including new guides for Teams AI, Speaker Progress, Math Progress, Forms, Reading Coach with AI stories and Dyslexia Tools, free to download (And print!).
As I’ve alluded to many times, Microsoft boasts a broad (And continually growing) range of powerful learning tools that when appropriately used in the classroom can significantly enhance teaching, learning and assessment. However, even thinking about mastering so many apps can seem a daunting prospect for time poor teachers and that’s why these quick guides are so effective. Bitesized, visual step-by-step quick start guides specific to each tool that are available on a need to know basis. and enable proficiency in gig time.. From Immersive Reader to Copilot, Khanmigo to the imminent Math Progress, Teams AI to Reading Coach with AI stories, Quick Guides do ‘Exactly what they say on the tin (PDF🤔)’ with the promise of more to come. Below I’ve listed the six most recent additions (As of August 2024) and for the full list, see tinyurl.com/365qsguides.
