Those of you who are long time followers of the TeachNet Learning blog may recall in the early years, our Learning Podcast Series, where we regularly spoke with educators at home and abroad about the big-ticket items (and issues) of the time in the world of ICTs in Education. The graphic (Of its time) below might ring some bells but if not check out the podcast archive here for at least a trip down memory lane if not a snapshot of where we were at on our ever-evolving digital learning journey between 2009 and 2013. In early 2013 we decided to take a podcast hiatus with the intention to revisit and reboot the medium at some point down the road…
And considering the significant transformation to the educational landscape in the intervening years (Particularly during and post pandemic) we believe the time is right to restart (Or as previously mooted, reboot) the TeachNet Podcast Series. So, starting next Thursday October 20th (And continuing on the 3rd Thursday of each month during term time thereafter) we will be publishing a new podcast here (And through Spotify, Google and Apple) monthly. As before, we plan to mix it up with both Michael Hallissy and myself speaking with guests from home and abroad. We’ll debate the stories that matter in digital learning, explore a broad range of technology in education topics and how best to integrate digital tools into teaching, learning and assessment.
To get the ball rolling next week, Michael will be joined by Donal O’Reilly, Deputy Principal of Killorglin Community College, currently with the Centre for School Leadership. to discuss all things blended learning. Including, what it might (Or should) look like in our post-pandemic classrooms, how we can build on the lessons learned during the Covid years, the Flipped Classroom model and providing our students with the skills to become self-regulated learners…
So, join us next week (Or whenever suits!) here or via your go-to podcast directory to listen and join the conversation…
