I have been teaching in infant classes the last few years and I love using a book to support the teaching of topics.
I would use two books to help my teaching of this topic “My sky tonight” and “Can’t you sleep little bear” My sky tonight- The activity shown in this book uses a light from a lamp to represent day and night. The children run towards the light for daytime and away from the light to show night- time. This is a very clear and easy lessons for infants to understand and engage in the lesson and learn the concept of day and night. The next part of my lesson would focus on shadows and creating them using the lamp. The children will be encouraged to make a variety of shadows and create a shadow puppet show.
Can’t you sleep little bears- looks at light and darkness. Little bear can’t sleep due to the dark so big bear gets lanterns(first a tiny one, then a bigger and bigger lantern) to help make the room brighter. But little bear still can’t sleep so eventually big bear brings little bear to look at the moon and stars that make the sky brighter. It looks at light and we can use it to ask what will happen if we stand in front of the light blocking it- shadows

I would start my lesson with a quick discussion about space focusing on the importance of gravity in space. What it does to the astronauts.
I would then discuss gravity and what it does. Pull and push force.
I would examine and discuss the pull and push force and how we move things with forces.
I would introduce my magnets lesson- what is a magnet discussion! What is a magnet for? When do we use them and why
i would demonstrate to the class how we use a magnet.
I would demonstrate using an investigation sheet how we make predictions and test and record results
I would then provide every pair with their own magnets and a box full of objects to test if they attract or repel magnets.
After every pair tests all of their objects. They will sort them into groups of attracts and repels.
then the children will have an object race using magnets to move the objects along a race trackMy name is Sharon Coyne and my favourite space fact is learning about the lives of astronauts and their lives in space. I love learning about the rockets and their journey to space also
I love your lesson plan and including Dinosaurs is a great idea as many children love dinosaur lessons and space.
