The visual supports could give children another way to communicate how they are feeling when finding the right words may be difficult.
The movement and body break activities sound particularly useful too, especially as they complement the UDL approaches you are already using. Short opportunities to regulate and refocus can make a real difference to pupils’ readiness to learn.
I also like your link to SSE and DEIS planning. Using information from regular check-ins to identify patterns and evaluate existing supports could provide useful evidence for school improvement, while also ensuring that pupil voice remains an important part of the process.
