Yes, Google forms is an excellent way to communicate. I hope to use it with children and parents.

Great Idea thanks. I will use something similar for the Junior Enterprise project next year.

Hi . Your tasks aim to keep the child at the centre of the decision making process when selecting the learning experiences that will be most effective in this regard. Thanks for the tips.

Here is a slides document on The Student Council

I have learned how Google Slides can be used effectively for content creation. I now know how to use the drawing tool across all Google apps, which enhances creativity and presentation.

I also understand the value of Google Meet. I know how to create a Google Group that can include members from across the entire school. I plan to use Google Meet to connect with other schools, allowing students to collaborate through features like breakout rooms.

I appreciate how Google Meet integrates seamlessly with Google Calendar, enabling easy access to meeting links directly from calendar events. This will be particularly useful for scheduling and conducting parent-teacher meetings where appropriate.

Additionally, I will use Google Groups for communication with teachers. It saves time by allowing messages to be sent to all members at once. Google Groups supports collaboration, as all messages are stored and accessible at any time. This transparency ensures that all communication is visible to group members. Documents can also be shared within the group, making them easily accessible whenever needed.

Google Workspace tools are well-suited to a blended learning approach, supporting both in-person and online education. They make it easy for teachers and students to communicate, share content, and collaborate from anywhere. The tools are flexible, easy to use, and help create a consistent learning experience across different settings.
I hope to use them in my teaching going forward more and more.

The skill I will focus on is helping children develop the ability to solve complex, multidisciplinary, open-ended problems is crucial in preparing them for a world that values creativity, systems thinking, and adaptability. This is not something that can be taught through rote instruction; it requires an intentional, long-term approach across several areas of learning. I will meet these expectations in my teaching by introducing cooperative group work from an early age.
Teach active listening, turn-taking, and negotiation skills.
Help them reflect: “How did you solve that? What was hard? What helped?”
Use learning journals, reflection time, or think-alouds. This will also link with the New Primary Language and Maths Curriculums.

Dylan Wiliam (2014)suggests that formative assessment is most effective when embedded in day-to-day teaching, allowing students to actively engage in their learning and monitor their own progress. He highlights the importance of feedback that guides learners rather than grades. Wiliam also stresses that students should be trained to become reflective learners who can assess their own understanding and set goals for improvement.

Currently, I use a mix of summative and formative assessments but tend to focus more on evaluating outcomes than promoting learning during the process. To improve my Assessment for Learning (AfL) practices, I plan to incorporate more peer and self-assessment strategies, providing structured opportunities for students to reflect on their progress using google forms. For Assessment of Learning (AoL), I will work on aligning summative tasks more closely with learning objectives and ensure feedback is timely and actionable to support future. Here is a google form I will use for market research for a product we will make next September. growth.https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Mr_SmJfBxIPRFnkO2gZHYs8gGa6ZWVoSPtOuARoHNbE/edit?pli=1

Our students all have their own email and log in to chrome books. I send links to songs etc on google classroom. The children develop great ICT Skills as a result if using Google Classroom. I can assess them easily and gathere evidence. I can post projects and it develops their digital portfolio so evidence can be gathered easy (sse step 3). The children have a choice of using google slides or forms etc for tasks. It can cause issues as some chn cannot access it easily at home. SSE aims to support reflection and collaboration among colleagues as a way of working to support whole school improvement and  Google Classroom helps both reflection and collaboration especially in our school as we all use it.

I will use google classroom with my 6th class. I will assign homework on it and they can have a choice board to complete projects on google slides or any way they wish. They can then submit projects easily to me. To link with the School Self Evaluation (SSE) Guideline I can see the on the impact of digital integration on student participation. I can gather formative data via Google Forms or Classroom to inform teaching strategies and identify areas for improvement.
It also improves communication between teachers and students, allowing for easier sharing of assignments, feedback, and learning materials.
I can asses their work quicker and it enncourages Digital Literacy- aligning with digital competence goals in the DLP.
My use of digital technology can be shared with other teachers in my school to develop our digital skills.
