I am posting my lesson assignment here if thats ok as i could not reply to the link above that reply box wouldnt work.

I would use some AI tools to create a lesson on an European Country for example France.

Step 1- I would get Google Gemini to research some facts about France possibly 10-15 key facts ( geography, map, culture, history, landmarks, food etc.

Step 2- I would then paste the facts from Gemini into Gamma to create a powerpoint on France which would help keep the pupils attention.

Step 3- I would then do  a reading lesson on France using Diffit to create differentiated reading material for the class with five comprehension questions to answer afterwards.

Step 4- I would create a quiz for the pupils to complete using Microsoft Co- pilot to create the questions and then copy and paste the questions to Quizizz for the pupils to complete on the IPAD.

Step 5- I would use canva to create map labelling exercises and vocabulary matching sheets which could be given to the pupils for homework to consolidate the material learned.

Step 6- I would use canva to create some posters with pictures of landmarks from France and some common french phrases.

I would also use Google Earth 3D when showing pupils about France.

I intend to use magic school for my class planning for this year. This will save endless time and will help create interesting activities, games and resources for lessons. Also in terms of differentiation it can be used to simplify texts for pupils who need material made easier and for SEN pupils. Also in terms of assessment magic school could be very useful for creating questions, providing feedback etc. I also intend to use speaker coach which can help develop pupils reading fluency and vocabulary skills and targeting words with they need to practice. I also will try out Khan Academy as this looks like a very good resource. It could be used for maths and english activities for pupils who need extra practice or for pupils who need an extra challenge. For maths work it could be used for revision of topics such as number skills, fractions etc. These sites will make the class teacher way more efficient and create more interesting tasks for pupils.

After completing this module i can definitely see the positive impact these tools can have on future teaching. I look forward to using tools such as magic school and microsoft co-pilot to create differentiated lessons, activities and asssessments. I would like to use Gamma to create presentations which would save so much time in the classroom on any topic of interest to pupils. Image creator would be very useful to develop pupils vocabulary and also to spark the pupils interest in the writing process.I would also like to try out reading coach and speaker coach which most definitely would develop pupils confidence and fluency especially for those pupils who would be nervous about public speaking. Youtube translate tool would be of great benefit to the various EAL pupils which are in our school. The time saving element would be very beneficial to teachers cutting out so much time spent on researching resources, creating powerpoints etc. Also in terms of differentiation these tools are a game changer.

AI has potential to be of great benefit to teachers. In terms of short term and long term planning AI can be very beneficial to cut the amount of time spent on planning. In terms of creating resources, and engaging lessons AI can really benefit teachers here and save them alot time in researching material online themselves. I have learned alot in this module about the various AI tools out there as I would have only have used chatgbt. Gemini and co- pilot are tools I definitely will use in my planning going forward. Other tools such as canva.com would be very useful for children creating stories for creative writing etc. In terms of assessment these AI tools can be used to create and mark quizzes etc. For pupils with SEN AI can help pupils with features like speech to text and text to speech technologies. It is definitely important to remember to be aware of the ethical guidelines involved when using AI and to check with your school management that they are happy with you using GEN AI tools.

‘AI has great potential to transform the classroom in terms of making the teacher more productive and efficient and helping create lessons that can be used for the different levels within the classroom. AI can help check pupils strengths, weaknesses and their overall progress. Pupils can benefit from AI using interactive learning platforms to develop problem solving skills. Undoubtedly there are many challenges in using AI in the classroom. where pupils need to use their critical thinking and are aware that AI can often present misinformation. The video of the school from China seems a step too far in terms of the way in which they are using AI. The headbands to track their attention etc could be quite problematic in terms of invading pupils privacy and adding unnecessary anxiety onto pupils school experience. I think AI should be more of a tool for teachers to use to reduce their administrative workload and maybe pupils use it on minimum level when monitored closely by teachers.
