Activity set: space and aliens
This activity set seems perfect for junior classes, offering numerous opportunities for creative thinking and imaginative play. Instead of starting with a book, I would kick off the topic with a simple science experiment, such as “Space Slime.” The children could create their own space-themed slime using glue, glitter, and food coloring, which would spark their curiosity about outer space. After making the slime, I would have the children work in small groups to design their own alien using craft supplies like pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and foam shapes.
