I thought My Sky Tonight video on the Sun’s Energy lesson was fantastic. I thought the use of the sun ball at the start to elicit prior knowledge was a fun and engaging way to get the children on board with the material and curious about learning more. It’s so important to incorporate safety in the sun for children too and I like how it was approached here. The role play activity was great as a reinforcer and incorporated hands on fun and engaging learning again. I look forward to using this lesson with my class next year and can see it working really well as part of Aistear.
