Observing positions of the sun
for this lesson I would first have class discussion on position of the sun. And also how the sun affects seasons . I would keep a record over a weeks basis . Firstly taking note of position of sun in morning mid day and afternoon . Noting the positions daily and also noting weather patterns if it is a cloudy or clear day.
Children could keep record of this in their sese copies. From this record keeping children would notice the pattern of positions of the sun . Following on from this I would relate this to lessons on seasons and northern and southern hemispheres .
also could do lessons relating to this on time and importance of the sun to sustain life on earth .
