I really enjoyed this module and life had a very beneficial and very practical. There was lots of great ideas that I will definitely be using in the future in my classroom.
The activity I have chosen to discuss is the weather.
I would first discuss with the children’s different types of Weather that we have here in Ireland what is most common least common et cetera? I would then gain the prayer knowledge from different climate such as Spain or Portugal. We would create a weather chart and we would monitor the weather over a number of days and count how many times it might rain or be sunny during a week or two week. The children would then use this activity to create a seasonal chart displayed a different types of Weather that we would normally see in each season and I would coordinate this along with learning the seasons and the months of the year. Science activity the children would investigate the best types of materials to wear in cold, rainy and hot seasons. We would use the welly experiment to decide which material would keep our feet dry when it is raining.
