This project is about music literacy, in relation to the Irish Primary School music curriculum. Chime bars are in use in many Irish Primary schools, and these are a very useful resource. For this reason, Aileen has chosen to link the chime bars to literacy. The project provides very useful and practical information, which can be used as a resource for teachers and children alike.

This project deals with some strategies for teaching literacy to children, and includes rhythm and pitch patterns, with accompanying sound files.
Objectives
The main objective is to support teachers and pupils alike with theory of music literacy, in a way that links it to chime bars, and relates to the primary music curriculum.
