1916: Seven Days in History is an account of one week in April 1916 which changed the course of Irish history. That week witnessed the Easter Rising of 1916 which ended in military failure and the execution of its leaders. This is an account of that week as seen from the viewpoint of the rebels who took part, the military and ordinary Dubliners caught up in the fighting. The project focuses on the value of seeing historical events from different viewpoints by presenting photographs and accounts of the Rising. It lays particular emphasis on the role of the media in reporting on and covering news stories. Suitable for 5/6 th Primary and/or 1st/2nd year Secondary.

Objectives
