Would you like to learn more about the Scientific and Natural Heritage of your local area and how to integrate it with STEM teaching in your classroom? Many important Scientists and Engineers have lived and worked in Ireland and many scientific discoveries have been made throughout the country. This online course brought to you by Birr Castle Demesne, ESERO Ireland and Research Ireland’s Curious Minds uses the Scientific Heritage of Birr Castle Demesne and classroom resources from ESERO Ireland as an example of how you can connect with your local Scientific Heritage and use it as inspiration for classroom science investigations, design and make challenges and practical maths. Incorporating outdoor learning and creative uses of technology and with a wealth of resources and ideas on Astronomy, Engineering and Biodiversity and integration with language, history, geography and the arts, this course has activities that can be used in every classroom from infants up and plenty of inspiration to encourage you to investigate STEM in your own local area.
