Teacher Toolkit: Integrating Digital Technologies into Teaching Learning & Assessment Practices
‘Technology in education has become an important feature in our schools’ curriculum with digital tools rapidly becoming the cultural tools of our society. This course will introduce participants to a range of practical ways in which they can integrate these tools into teaching, learning and assessment and embed ICTs into their existing classroom activities’

Technical Requirements
All our courses require broadband Internet access (Min of 2mb recommended) and participants need to be familiar with using the internet, downloading and installing software
Course Objectives
The course objective is for teachers have a fuller understanding of how a set digitals tools (toolkit) when used creatively can enhance teaching, learning and assessment and equip participants with the necessary skill-set to effectively utitise them on their return to school. Tools include, online and offline teaching tools, recommended curricular digital content, assessment tools and ePortfolios.
Expected Outcomes
Participants will have a fuller understanding of how ICTs when used creatively can enhance teaching, learning and assessment. They will develop their ICT skills through the location, manipulation, organisation and creation of curriculum resources and assessment tools. They will understand how to apply the school self-evaluation guidelines to their own teaching, as they consider how to integrate their digital toolkit to bring about improvements in their pupils’ learning.
Course Duration
Delivered online, this course can be taken anytime, anywhere between September 12th and December 31st 2019. Participants will be encouraged to engage meaningfully with course content for approximately 20 hours.
