Technical Requirements
All our courses require broadband Internet access (Min of 1mb recommended) and participants need to be familiar with using the internet, downloading and installing software
Course Objectives
The course objective is for teachers to have a fuller understanding of how ICT through the use of mobile devices can be integrated into their literacy and numeracy activities and to provide them with the skill-set to implement some of these activities on their return to school.
Expected Outcomes
Participants will have a fuller understanding of how mobile devices can support literacy and numeracy in their classrooms. They will develop their ICT skills through the location, manipulation, organisation and creation of curriculum resources suitable for use with mobile devices. They will understand how to apply the school self-evaluation guidelines to their own teaching, as they consider how to integrate the use of these devices to bring about improvements in their pupils’ learning.
Course Duration
Delivered online, this course can be taken anytime, anywhere between September 12th and December 31st 2019. Participants will be encouraged to engage meaningfully with course content for approximately 20 hours.
