Course Completion Requirements
What are the course completion requirements?
Here is a summary of the course completion requirements:
- All participants must complete 5 assignments (one at the end of each module) and all participants must make two forum posts at the end of each module. The first post is the end of module assignment and it must demonstrate achievement of the module’s stated learning outcomes. The second post is a comment on another participants contribution.
- All participants must complete a Reflective Learning Assignment (formerly known as the Reflective Learning Log), which you complete after finishing all five modules and assignments. Alternatively if preferable you can make note of your reflections after each module in a Word or Google doc and then copy and paste your responses into the Reflective Learning Assignment at the end of the course. This assignment is designed to demonstrate your achievement of the course’s stated learning outcomes. You will be asked to reflect on each module individually based on the following questions.
- What did you learn in this Module?
- What resources are you likely to use when you return to school?
- How will you use the resources with your students?
- Do you have any concerns or issues?
- How will this support your School Self Evaluation (SSE) and/or Digital Learning Plan?
- The course Reflective Learning Assignment (formerly known as the Reflective Learning Log), which you complete after finishing all five modules and assignments.
- The Reflective Learning Assignment forms part of your Learning Record which tracks your participation in the course. The record also contains a Learning Log, which verifies that you have completed: A minimum of 10 hours of online learning, and 10 additional hours of self-verified learning through other activities.
- You are required to engage with the course for 20 hours. All participants must complete a minimum of 10 hours online. Please note, your online time is available at the top of the course homepage as per screenshot below. You are also permitted to add a maximum of 10 hours offline time allowable for other course related learning activities. This offline time can be manually inputted. Therefore, you should note any time you spend offline (e.g. reading reports, articles, watching videos etc outside of the TeachNet Learning Management System)

- You can only do one course at a time. You MUST NOT commence a second course until you have completed your first or previous course.
- When you finish your course, our course facilitation team validates that all the course requirements have been met. You will receive approval if:
- You have posted to the discussion forum and commented on another participant’s post for all online modules
- Each of your module postings is of a professional and relevant nature and contributes to the learning and interaction of the course.
- Your reflective learning assignment responses are of a professional, reflective and relevant nature.
- Your time spent completing the course totals 20 hours or more (both online and offline).
- You have declared that the work completed on the course is your own.
- You will be notified by email If you have successfully completed your online course and secured your EPV days. A Certificate of Attendance will be available on the course homepage. Please allow 48 hours for return of approval. Certificates should be downloaded immediately but are available to download for 1 month after the end of the course closing date.
