Jack,

I agree with you on the value of showing “non-fair” tests as a way of emphasizing the nature of fair testing for comparison of variables. I find it useful to give examples of every day life where something might not be fair: for example… “Imagine we are going to have a race to see which tractor is the slowest.. and the last tractor to cross the line wins… but this tractor is going to start right next to the line and this one will start over the other side of the field…”  is that fair?
