Over the period of this blended course, we will help you to design enriching lessons for your students based upon the 21CLD curriculum & the Microsoft Educator Centre. The 21CLD curriculum: Collaboration; Skilled communication; Knowledge construction; Self-regulation; Real-world problem-solving and innovation; and Use of ICT for learning, each of which represents an important skill for students to develop.  

Throughout the course learn how to clear and practical methods to create these 21CLD learning activities using various Office 365 applications including Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Flipgrid & more. These various applications contain numerous accessibility tools that will ensure these activities are accessible to all students.

Technical Requirements

All our courses require broadband Internet access (Min of 2mb recommended) and participants need to be familiar with using the internet, downloading and installing software.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to introduce teachers to creative ways of developing 21st century skills such as collaboration, skilled communication, problem solving, knowledge construction and use of ICT for learning. Participants will exposed to variety of Office 365 tools and resources to support the development of these skills and have the opportunity to reflect and assess their use of ICT in their classrooms. Participants will also explore ways they can change their own practice to focus on students using technology to support their own learning and the development of their 21st century skills.

Expected Outcomes

Participants will be aware of the key 21st Century Skills: communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity, social and emotional intelligence, technological literacy and problem solving and understand how these relate to the key skills framework. Participants will learn how technology use can enhance opportunities to develop 21st century skills and assist in the creation challenging tasks that will motivate their students.

3 Days Live Online Microsoft Teams workshops:
August 16th-18th
Online: August 19th- 20th

This is a blended course, 3 Days Live Online Microsoft Teams workshops 9.30 – 2.30 and the remainder (Approx 8 hours) of the course online at, between August 19th and 20th.  Participants are required to attend all workshops and engage meaningfully with online content for approximately 8 hours. Whilst participation and engagement with the course content will be primarily judged on the quality of their contributions, an attendance roll will be kept and a log of their time spent working online.
