The 7th Seamus Heaney Lecture Series is currently drawing to a close in St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra, Dublin. The 2013 series entitled ‘Imagining the Future’ has drawn on speakers across a range of disciplines – geographers, historians, writers, scientists, philosophers, media and educationalists – and examines key questions around the possibility of creating a sustainable future.
The concluding lecture entitled ‘Technology and the Future’ takes place this Monday April 15th @ 7PM, where renowned film maker and digital champion Lord David Puttnam is joined by Mr Tim Hynes, Senior Director at Microsoft to discuss how digital technologies are impacting our world and initiating change and what impact they will have on present and future generations. Are we preparing the next generation in a way that they will be able to tackle the complex global challenges they will inherit?
